AI Business Leverage Audit

Understand what AI changes in your business — and what to do about it.

A few days inside your operation, ending in one document: the quick wins worth doing first on top, the bigger strategic plays underneath — ranked by what they will actually save, not what sounds impressive.

Who it is for

Established organisations that know AI matters, but lack a practical, prioritised plan.

You are an owner, CEO, COO, divisional leader or transformation leader in an established Australian business. AI is already in the room — staff are experimenting, competitors are making claims, and the board is asking questions.

What is missing is a clear-eyed view of your own operation: where AI genuinely creates value, where it introduces risk, and what to do first. The audit is designed to give you that decision, not a technology tour.

What you will know at the end

Five questions the audit answers

  1. 1

Where is the business exposed by unmanaged or poorly governed AI use?

  2. 2

Where are time, customer value or staff capacity being lost in current workflows?

  3. 3

Which AI-enabled opportunities are commercially meaningful and realistically addressable?

  4. 4

Which opportunity should be piloted first, and how will success be measured?

  5. 5

What should the organisation do during the next 90 days?

How it works

Four steps, each ending in something concrete

A defined process with a fixed scope — not open-ended consulting hours. You can see what you are getting at every step.

01

See the work as it really happens

Time inside the business with you and the people closest to the work — how customers, information and decisions actually move day to day, not how the org chart says they do.

You get

A clear picture of your critical workflows

02

Face the risks first

Where unmanaged AI use, fragile processes or knowledge locked in one person's head already expose the business.

You get

A plain-English risk and readiness view

03

Rank what is worth doing

Every candidate weighed against what it will genuinely save, what it will take to do, and how confident we can be in the numbers.

You get

One ranked list — easy wins on top

04

Sequence the next 90 days

What to pilot first, who owns it, how success will be measured, and what belongs in the longer plan.

You get

A first pilot and a 90-day sequence

What arrives

One document. Easy wins on top, big strategy underneath.

Everything in one place, in priority order — so you can see at a glance what to start this month, and what belongs in the longer plan.

  • A discovery interview with you, plus conversations with the people closest to the work

  • An honest look at how AI is already being used in the business — sanctioned or not — and how it is governed

  • A map of the workflows that matter most, and where they lose time

  • Every opportunity ranked by what it will genuinely save, what it will take, and how confident we can be — with the assumptions written down

  • A quick-win plan to recover recurring hours in the first weeks, not the first year

  • A recommended first pilot with a named owner, a baseline and an agreed measure of success

  • A 90-day sequence for what comes after the quick wins

  • An executive presentation and a written report you can hand to your board

The boundaries

What the audit is — and is not

  • Fixed scope and agreed inputs, settled before we start.

  • You get diagnosis and recommendations. Any build work that follows is scoped and quoted separately.

  • No promised savings. Value is an estimate until your own process data confirms it.

  • Access, confidentiality and data handling are agreed before discovery begins.

  • Every recommendation keeps a human in charge of consequential decisions, and treats privacy and security as first-order concerns.

Investment

A fixed-fee engagement

The audit is priced as a fixed fee for a defined scope, not billed by the hour. The exact scope and fee are confirmed at a short audit-fit conversation, once we both understand your operation and whether the audit is the right next step.

If it is not the right fit, I will tell you — and where I can, point you at what to do instead.

Who runs it

Dr Jim Kennedy

Jim was part of the skunkworks team that took the original personal computer to mass market. He holds a PhD in Chemistry and has 40 years of leadership experience, including VP Asia Pacific managing more than 10,000 people and worldwide marketing manager roles for a Fortune 500.

He has been using AI professionally since 2015 — thousands of hours building applications, voice systems and data infrastructure, and learning exactly where AI works and where it confidently produces the wrong answer.
